Build products, not scripts

Systems & Infrastructure Engineer III @ Walmart Global Tech · Enterprise endpoint & platform engineering
Northwest Arkansas • Open to Senior Systems & Infrastructure Engineer roles — Remote & Relocation
I engineer the endpoint platform behind ~384,000 Windows devices at Walmart Global Tech, owning Intune, Configuration Manager (SCCM), and Windows Update for Business at fleet scale. I'm the named lead for the company's ~54,000 Windows kiosks — holding architecture and approval authority for the domain — and one of three engineers trusted to approve production code for the Windows Engineering (OS) team.
My work sits where endpoint management meets software engineering. I ship the internal products other engineers run the platform on, and I lead its servicing modernization from SCCM to Windows Update for Business. I built the remediation that saved ~10,000 devices from becoming unrecoverable — an estimated $18M–$24M in avoided hardware replacement — and redesigned the global patch schedule that lifted monthly compliance from under 50% to over 90%.
My focus is platform reliability: proactive, self-healing systems that prevent incidents instead of reacting to them, built increasingly with AI-assisted workflows behind a human approval gate — the model drafts, an engineer decides.
I treat endpoint engineering as software engineering. The through-line across everything I ship: build products other engineers adopt, automate the work out of existence, and prove it with measurable outcomes.
Every tool I ship is documented, versioned, and built to be handed off. A 30+ tool internal PowerShell framework, plus WinDAS and PULSE, are run by engineers who never met me.
Drift-remediation tooling cut support-queue volume ~65%; a single remediation avoided an estimated $18M–$24M. If the outcome can't be measured, the work isn't finished.
I'm one of three engineers trusted to approve production code, I administer the team's GitHub organization, and I built GitHub101 to move an operations team toward an engineering culture with real version control and peer review.
I build with AI-assisted development workflows and shipped an internal AI tool behind a human-in-the-loop approval gate — the model drafts, an engineer decides.

Windows Engineering (OS) — supporting ~384,000 endpoints and 2.1 million users
Engineers the endpoint platform behind ~384,000 Windows devices — named Lead for all Windows kiosks, leading Windows servicing modernization, and building the internal products the team runs on. Increasingly focused on platform reliability over firefighting: preventing incidents before they reach users, not just resolving them faster.
Recruited into Windows Engineering on the strength of automation built in the support organization — taking ownership of Intune, SCCM, Windows servicing, Windows 11 deployment, and Microsoft 365 application packaging across ~384,000 endpoints.
Helped establish Walmart's overnight Level 2 Enterprise Operations organization from the ground up before promotion into systems engineering.
